How it all started.

Yoga was first introduced to me by a good friend of mine while living in Dubai back in 2014. It had been a difficult time in my life, and I had found myself very unhappy, overworked and overwhelmed. I was truly desperate to find a better work-life balance, love, and pursue my personal passions.

I remember with such clarity, being nervous at the thought of taking a yoga class. I had no idea what to expect, nor if I was capable of executing any of the postures. Nevertheless, I took my friends advice and booked my very first Hatha class. It was an early morning class and I remember creeping in and taking the FURTHEST mat from the front. I sat down, crossed my legs and closed my eyes, nervous and anxious of what was to come…

It was instant magic for me…like a “welcome home” kind of feeling. I was in such a daze when we finished and felt incredibly confused by the mix of emotions. What I did know for certain was that I had to return.

From that very first class I have never looked back.

I became obsessed with the emotional and mental connection that I was able to encounter while practicing. In fact, it was so much, that I would get in from my work at 2.00am most mornings, sleep for a couple of hours, and wake up at 4.45am to make it to my yoga class. It had become my safe haven. After just a few short weeks, I started noticing the physical

strength and flexibility in my body, aligned with feeling calmer and more settled within myself.

After practicing for around a year, I had finally connected with myself. I craved a different path to the one I was pursuing at the time within hospitality management and I knew with complete clarity that I was meant to be of service to others through the art of yoga.

I made a choice to change my existence.

Soon after, I handed my notice in, said farewell to my wonderful Dubai family and friends, and boarded a plane to Bali…the destination where my new life journey would begin.
